For over 38 years, we have been bringing commercial, residential and infrastructure development to communities across Kenya.
Since our first project building the Chepsigot-Cheptebo Water Supply Project in the Kerio Valley, to one of our latest projects, the Umanyi Springs to Mtito Andei pipeline, we have been bringing reliable water supplies to communities that had none.
We have built up extensive experience in road construction, ranging from 500km of all-weather roads built in the world’s largest national park, to bitumen standard roads at the base of the 77th Artillery Battalion of the Kenya Army.
Our projects have always promoted inter-community development and integration, with a fine example being a bride we built across the Mara River, joining the Nandi and Maasai communities living on opposite sides of the river for the first time in their history.
A fateful incident in the 1980s led to the delay of a project due to supply problems with the filter media required. To avoid passing this on to the client, we ventured a significant investment into in-house filter media production capabilities, and have been supplying the product all over the country since.
When working in densely-populated urban areas such as Mathare 4A and Kawangware, we have always utilised a ‘Community First’ approach by enlisting a predominantly local workforce wherever possible.
With the increasing complexity and size of projects we carried out, capabilities in all areas were required. This led to the creation of a fully-equipped workshop run by and for the company. This has now also grown, and is an operation in its own right, carrying out specialised jobs for external clients.
In 1979, the company started off with a Mercedes-Benz tipper and a single Massey Ferguson excavator. That fleet has now grown to well over 100 machines, including graders, tracked and wheeled loaders, bulldozers, rollers, mixer machines, premix plants, tracked and wheeled dumpers, excavators, scrapers, water bowsers, low-loaders, tipping trailers, prime movers and tippers. This extensive fleet is also made available for hire to external clients when not engaged on site.
Throughout our history, we have had the aim of making tomorrow a better place for our fellow Kenyans.
